MONTREAL -- Feeling confident after a comeback win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, the Philadelphia Flyers will face one of their toughest tests of the young season when they visit the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. The Flyers (2-2-1) found their offensive groove again with six goals in the win over the Hurricanes and are now averaging 3.8 goals per game. Montreal is averaging four goals, which leads the NHL.They have excellent team speed, especially their group of forwards, Flyers coach Dave Hakstol told the Philadelphia Inquirer of the Canadiens. They play with a lot of pace.Trailing 2-0 early in the second period on Saturday, the Flyers rallied for four straight before skating away with a 6-3 victory. While winger Jakub Voracek paced the offense with two goals and an assist, rookie defenseman Ivan Provorov came through with two key assists on goals that tied the game and provided Philadelphia with a lead it would never relinquish. It was a bounce-back night for the 19-year-old after some tough outings on both sides of the puck, helped along by a teammate just one year removed from freshman status. He was down after a few games, second-year defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere told CSNPhilly.com. I didnt really tell him much other than, Hey, weve got 79 more of these. I told him to keep his head up and hell get over it.Hes a hell of a player and sometimes you dont get all of the bounces. Hes a great player as you guys could see.The Canadiens extended their winning streak to three games with a 4-1 triumph over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night. But while names like Pacioretty, Radulov, Gallagher and Galchenyuk are the ones teams try to keep a close eye on, it was the unlikely sources who delivered on offense in the latest win.Philip Danault, Torrey Mitchell and Paul Byron joined Brendan Gallagher on the scoresheet, giving Montreal 13 different players who have scored this season. We need that, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said after the game. We knew it was a character game, and it really was outstanding (against Boston). While Montreal is putting the puck in seemingly with ease, opponents havent been able to do the same at the other end. Back-up goaltender Al Montoya held the fort through the first three games and Carey Price looks like his old self in two appearances since returning from illness. The result is a league-best 1.60 goals-against average. Its been a tougher road for the Flyers in their own end, averaging 3.8 goals against. Netminders Steve Mason and Michal Neuvirth carry well-below average statistics into the week, with Masons 3.35 goals-against average and .882 save percentage holding a slight edge over Neuvirths 4.24 goals-against and .854 save percentage. If theres an area that could use improvement on Montreals end, its the power play. While the man advantage has looked better than years past under associate coach Kirk Mullers guidance, the team only connected three times on 21 opportunities, tied for sixth-most chances in the NHL.Former Canadiens forward Dale Weise wont get the chance to face his former team as he serves the second of a three-game suspension for a hit last week. The Flyers could have fresh legs coming into the line-up this week as defenseman Michael Del Zotto and forward Scott Laughton joined the team for practice on Sunday and will travel to Montreal and partake in the clubs morning skate. Both players have been on injured reserve since opening night. Darrell Henderson Rams Jersey . Following a lopsided 5-2 loss against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night, Paul MacLean told reporters that "theres a lack of focus, theres a lack of leadership and theres a lack of preparation" with his struggling team. Sri Lanka U-19s 318 for 9 (Fernando 117, Ashan 77*) beat England U-19s 315 for 8 (Hankins 98, Bartlett 85, Moores 70, Kumara 4-56) by one wicketScorecard Sri Lanka held their nerve to claim the Royal London Under-19 one-day series with one match to spare after a tense finish in Chelmsford. The tourists, who had won the first match of the series comfortably in Wormsley last Wednesday, seemed to be cruising again at 229 for three in the 36th over, after England had posted 315 for 8. But the dismissal of their opener Avishka Fernando for an excellent 117, run out by a direct hit from Somersets offspinner Dom Bess who was again the pick of Englands bowlers, breathed fresh life into the contest.Ben Green, Besss Somerset team-mate, took three wickets and there were two more run-outs, leaving Sri Lanka nine wickets down and still needing two to win at the start of the 50th over. But Shammu Ashan, who scored an unbeaten 60 at Wormsley, drove the first ball from Aaron Beard through the covers for the match-winning boundary, to set off wild celebrations among the Sri Lankans - who completed a 1-0 win in the two-match four-day series between the teams earlier this month.Ashan ended with 77 from 75 balls, and England will now be playing for pride in the last match of the series at the St Lawrence ground in Canterbury on Tuesday - a day-night match starting at 2pm and being televised live by Sky Sports.Englands total had been built around three significant contributions from Tom Moores, George Hankins and George Bartlett - all old boys of Millfield School.dddddddddddd Moores, the Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper-batsman who has just completed a successful loan spell at Lancashire, came in to open with captain Max Holden, and shrugged off the loss of his partner in the first over to make 70 from 68 balls with nine fours and a six.Hankins, the tall Gloucestershire right-hander who had opened in the defeat at Wormsley, played a sensible supporting role in stands of 123 in 24 overs with Moores, and 148 in 22 with Bartlett. The latter fell in the 47th over for 85 from 68 balls with eight fours and two sixes, one of them soaring over long-on and into the River Can.Hankins then fell agonisingly short of a century, middling a square cut but picking out backward point after making 98 from 144 balls. Worcestershires Zen Malik and Surrey wicketkeeper Ollie Pope contributed handy cameos in the closing overs, allowing England to set a tough target. But Sri Lanka made a flying start to their reply, with an opening stand of 67 inside nine overs before Yorkshires Ed Barnes had Dilan Jayalath coolly caught on the square leg boundary by Malik for 41 from 34 balls. That was the first of three boundary catches by Malik, and Bess bowled beautifully to concede only 36 in his 10 overs. Worcestershires left-arm spinner Ben Twohig took two wickets on his debut, but England paid a heavy penalty for an inconsistent ground-fielding display. ' ' '
